Roush Mustangs invaded the high speed playground of Carolina Motorsports Park the first Friday of May, 2009. The occasion was part of the annual get together of Roush Mustangs at Roush Racing HQ in NASCARTown, NC.

This time they added a track event to the three day party that included a car show and banquet.

It seemed like a good idea to get these high performance Mustangs someplace to let the ponies run a little and stretch their legs. As you might expect there was a nice turnout.

The weather was remarkably good, considering the forecast was for rain. There was sunshine and temps in the 80's. The cars and drivers seemed to enjoy the process. Cars came from far and wide including as far away as Wisconsin and New England.

The group laid down hot laps all day without incident. There was no bent sheet metal and as far as I could tell all the engines were smiling and happy when they left at the end of the day.
